Terry the Test Pilot

terry

Terry's story so far

Not so long ago in a place not so far away a little guinea pig was born in a dark, humid and filthy corner of an animal testing lab. The little guinea pig cages was oblivious, at the time, to the fact that he was born into media testing slavery of the darkest sort.Terry’s first memory is of his mother trying to push him further into the corner, trying to hide the little newly born from the lab personnel, but it was in vain. They took him to animal holding room 4 and put him in cage number 13, second shelf on the right and the third cage from the left, which was to be his home for a long time. The little guinea pig wept and longed after his mother for hours until he finally fell asleep.

The next couple of days were all a blur to Terry. He was locked in his cage and fed by the lab personnel. They fed him well so he would quickly gain strength and could be used in tests as soon as possible. He grew fast and was soon subjected to tests. He never saw his mother again.

Terry still has nightmares of the first test he was exposed to, three days after he was born, at RedRum Tech LTD, his birthplace and the name of the bad media testing company. The test lasted for two months straight and deeply scared Terry. Even to this day Terry gets small panic attacks whenever he hears about, or sees, a computer with Windows Vista.

For three years he was subject to cruel media tests, everything from watching really bad movies 24/7, tied down in a chair with bits of sticks forcing his eyes to stay open, to being forced to read every issue of Seiska. Terry quickly became the strongest of all the animals in RedRum Tech. Other animals succumbed to madness brought on by the relentless tests but somehow Terry grew mentally stronger and stronger. He was determined to survive.

One day, or was it night, Terry did not know because he had never actually seen the sun, a small flare of hope ignited in Terry. He saw one of the lab personnel drop his iPhone! If he only could only get to the iPhone before the man noticed it was gone he would be able to get information needed for an escape. Terry did not hesitate when the moment arrived; he was being untied from his testing chair when he suddenly leapt from the hands of the personnel, ran to where the iPhone lay, and swallowed it whole. The lab guy caught him and roughly shoved him into his cage. That night, or the time when he was permitted some rest, Terry was able to “extract” the iPhone and spent the time he had for rest planning his escape. He soon realized that he needed help from the outside and started to learn about social networking.
